Tutorial - Create beautiful Polymer clay Flower Bud beads

Today I am back with another tutorial to create Beautiful Lotus Bud beads.

With this is tutorial you'll know the technique behind creating perfect Flower bud beads.

Orchid and Humming bird designs..

Happy Thanksgiving my dear lovelies..

Art bead scene's November challenge has a very interesting painting by Martin Johnson Heade,

Beautiful "Cattleya Orchid and Three Hummingbirds". Amazing color combination and a beautiful inspiration.

Being an artist I use my polymer clay as my canvas and colors to paint my version of the painting.

My orchid and humming bird pendent. I used polymer clay applique technique to achieve this pendent. For the background created a wood effect base and colored with pearl-ex powders, and then created polymer clay orchid and little humming bird.

Colors in the painting are just so beautiful, I thought not to miss any shade if the main colors, and so I created Ombre effect beads. 

And then I combined these two in a amazing necklace!!

My imaginations didn't stopped after making this stunning piece.

I created another necklace of Humming bird and Orchid..

This time a choker necklace.

A simple necklace were a bird is flying towards this flower.. I didn't add any color to this one and made like faux silver.. this way it has the simplicity and more uniqueness.

My journey in learning Polymer clay cane Technique.

These days I am learning Polymer clay Cane techniques.

It is something I never experimented before.

What I learned and things I made with this technique was extremely beautiful, but my journey in learning this technique is even interesting.

It was spring time and I decided to make Cherry blossom petal cane for my experiment ..

Beautiful pinks formed in shape of Flower petal.

In beginning it was really easy, Just shape the colors and you are done....

Wow, how Easy!!!! But its not....

Like other techniques, I had to face few challenges.

First challenge is to reduce that cane and maintain its shape.

And if you managed to reduce it properly, then the biggest challenge is to slice is evenly and maintain its shape.

I took some four days to learn this basic.. In above image you can see my first cane and the way I managed to retain its shape..

Sharing few earrings I made with this cane. They are indeed beautiful and unique.

Creativity is endless with this technique, I am still learning it.

Vishnu's Matsya Avatar inspired necklace.

Most of my designs has Indian flavor.

Being a devotee of Krishna, I try to incorporate Krishna in all my work.

Recently I am working on Matsya-Avatar painting on my canvas, and that thought lead me to create such a beautiful and divine neck-piece.

Talking about Matsya Avatar, the First incarnation of Lord Vishnu in form of Fish.

Establishing a mythological subject in a form of a jewelry was indeed difficult.

Where I have to make sure that the story is going well as a jewelry.

Talking about detailing in the necklace,
 I have added Fish, clay stripes as water, flower / Lotus and Face of Lord Vishnu.

And surprisingly the output was incredible!

I have made this necklace with the techniques of Indian Terracotta clay Art, and so the look of the necklace is just like a piece of terracotta jewelry.

Here is the final necklace.

Since Krishna is 8th incarnation of Vishnu, 

I have added a peacock feather, Krishna's face in this necklace.

Since the necklace was appreciated by many people on my Facebook page,

 (because I shared it first there- Sorry!! )Now I have decided to make it in colors. 

I have not started working on it, but as soon as I finish it, I'll update it in my next blog post.

Tutorial - Flower hair clip

I started working with clay in 2009-2010, and the first thing I made was flowers.

I still have the first flower I made, and its very special to me.

Today when I see it I smile and feel good, that how nicely I am handling clay, creating things in a way I have imagined.

No one never teach me how to work with clay, its just practice, practice, practice.

and I created beautiful petals in my own way.

Its been a long time I shared this tutorial on my Facebook page.

Now I am posting regularly my bog, sharing it here with my readers as-well. 

The Flower hair clip Tutorial / DIY

A beautiful flower clip I made for my niece for her First Birthday

Sharing my 9 east steps to create a beautiful clip. Make it for you or as a beautiful gift so someone.

***Get ready with the material list.***

-Polymer clay in for favorite color

-Wooden tooth pic

-Small scissors

-Hair clip

-Permanent Glue

Lets Begin .....

Step 1 : Take a small amount of Clay, and roll it like a ball. it don't need to be a perfect round.

Step 2 - Now shape it like a water drop/ tear drop

Step 3 - Take toothpick and make a small hole in center

Step 4 - Now fun part - cut equal parts with your scissors - they will be your petals.

For beginning you can start with four, I am making six.

Step 5 - Take toothpick and genteelly try to expand that petal.. 

***Handle with care, and no much pressure.

Step 6 - And just like that make all six petals...

 Tada.. you made a flower.. Congratulations!!!!

Step 7 - I have made 3 flowers, and a bud for my hair clip.

Step 8 - Time to arranged them, I choose a silver center for my flowers.. 

I made 3 small balls and stuck them to each flower. Now, made dots on these balls with my toothpick.

Step 9 - Now bake your flowers as per direction on the package of your clay..

And its ready.... I took my hair clip and glue flowers on it. 

So exited to make ??
